Thriplow Farms Annual Report 1987

We had always assumed that this farm must inevitably do well in a wet year. We were wrong. 1987, with over 27 inches of rain (compared to our normal 21), was a poor year, but not as bad as 1986. We should not complain because many East Anglian and Scottish farms endured an infinitely more disastrous harvest. It is also worth remembering (and being grateful for) that before 1986 we enjoyed ten consecutive good years.Read the full report
